Trisor is generally subject to strict confidentiality requirements regarding all customer data. Unlike in the case of bank accounts, for example, there is no automatic data query process by authorities. In lack of any knowledge of the content of the safe deposit box, Trisor cannot provide authorities any information about it either. As concerns the existence of the safe deposit box contract with Trisor: Without corresponding request, Trisor is obligated to provide information only in the event of the death of the safe deposit box holder. In case of a corresponding request from an authority (e.g. order by the public prosecutor or a court) and when the legal conditions are met, Trisor will provide the relevant information to the required extent.
The safe deposit boxes may only be used for storing items that cannot cause any danger to our customers and that cannot compromise the functionality of the safe deposit box facility. The safe deposit box must specifically not be used for storing hazardous items or goods – especially not any fire hazardous items. In addition, it is prohibited to store items of which the law prohibits the possession, use or storage. You can find more information about this in our GTC.
As a customer, you have the option to appoint up to 3 other persons authorized to access and use the safe deposit box, who will receive their own card to open your box with a PIN and their fingerprint. The additional persons authorized for access must identify themselves with an identity card or passport.
You can choose from 3 sizes that we offer – quite according to your personal need. If you should ever run out of space, you can flexibly switch to a different safe deposit box size, depending on availability.
Trisor offers different contract models to meet the needs of all customers. Short-term contracts: Our short-term contracts have a period of 3 months and require notice of termination 1 month before expiration of the period. If the contract is not terminated, it will extend automatically for another 3 months. Monthly contracts: Our classic monthly contracts can be terminated for the first time after 6 months, and after that, each month. If the contract is not terminated, it will extend automatically for another month. Long-term contracts: Our long-term contracts with periods of one year or more can be terminated one month before expiration of the contract period agreed on the conclusion of the contract. If the contract is not terminated, it will extend automatically for the agreed contract period.
If you want to have your PIN or fingerprint be reset, you are welcome to let our service staff do this for you on site.
Trisor offers different contract models with different periods to meet the requirements of all customers. Short-term contracts: Our short-term contracts have a fixed period of 3 months and are particularly suitable for short-term renting, e.g. during vacation. A fixed flat fee is charged for the short-term contracts. Monthly contracts: Our regular monthly contracts have a minimum period of 6 months after which they can be cancelled monthly. Long-term contracts: With our long-term contracts for periods of one year or longer, you can save up to 50% compared to the regular monthly contract.
Not to worry: nobody can get to your box with the physical key by itself! If you have merely lost a key, we can replace the lock on site. The service fee for this is EUR 69.00 (Status 07/2023).
No, your fingerprint is always required as well.
The cryptographically encrypted key card is only one part of the 3-factor authentication. The other parts are your personal PIN and your fingerprint. You get access to the safe deposit box only with all three components. The key card is encrypted by an algorithm, which is deemed unbreakable and which is also used by various government agencies as a proven solution for safe encryption. And finally, you will also get a physical key to your box.
Our innovative robot technology enables clean and protected access to your valuables. For this purpose, a robot kept inside of the vault goes to the requested safe deposit box after the 3-factor authentication is completed (card, PIN and fingerprint) and takes the box out of its rack position. Then, the robot transports the safe deposit box through a lock gate into the dispensing module of the private security booth. The safe deposit box can now be opened with a key. Only then will access to the content be possible. Afterwards, the robot returns the safe deposit box to the vault.
Our safe deposit boxes are certainly one of the best options for storing cash and other materially valuable goods securely. Additional items that should be stored particularly carefully are crypto wallets, jewelry, watches, gold and precious metals, as well as other valuable collectibles. Important documents, registers and birth certificates also belong in a safe deposit box. Items with emotional value such as old family photos that would be irreversibly destroyed by damage from water or fire should likewise be protected.
If you have lost your access card, please inform us immediately. We will then block it for you. You can have our customer service on site issue you a new card. The same applies to a damaged card.
Every one of our safe deposit boxes has a standard cover of EUR 5,000 included in the rent as insurance for risks such as fire, breaking and entering or robbery inside of the business premises. On request, you can increase the standard cover to a maximum of EUR 500,000 per safe deposit box. The insurance is provided by a consortium of well-known insurance companies. Your safe deposit box is accommodated safely in a vault of security level 10. Access to your safe deposit box is triple secured:
- You enter the site using your access card
- You get access to the private security booth using your card and your PIN
- You can then request your safe deposit box by means of your card, the PIN and your fingerprint
Our locations have multiple protection measures in place to provide the best possible security for your valuables:
- We employ a certified security service working around the clock
- We rely on state-of-the-art video surveillance and a clever alarm system
- The safe deposit boxes are kept in a vault with security classification 10 and 15-cm thick walls made of special reinforced concrete
- The boxes are transported into the security booths by an automated system. Only you and persons you have authorized for access can open the safe deposit box there.
Our locations are accessible at any time for our customers. Accordingly, you can access your safe deposit box any day of the week at any time. In addition, our customer representatives are there for you on site from Mondays to Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
At Trisor, your safe deposit box is secured with a 3-factor authentication, giving you 24/7 access without appointment and Trisor employees. The safe deposit boxes are taken out by our robotics system and taken into large private security booths – unlike at some banks, we value greatly that our customers can take their time to discreetly handle their deposited valuables. Nobody on site can obtain access to the vault – break-ins into multiple boxes outside of business hours have been observed at some banks in the past but that is not possible at our sites. Our sites are protected 24 hours a day by a security service and our vaults meet the strictest security classifications. Our independence from banks makes it easy for you to reserve a safe deposit box from us and you do not need an account with us.
We are continuously expanding our network of locations. At this time (07/2023), locations in Nuremberg, Munich, Hamburg, Berlin and Cologne are in operation. Düsseldorf, Stuttgart, Dresden and Leipzig will follow in the year 2023. Safe deposit boxes can already be reserved at these locations. Unlike banks, you have 24/7 access to your safe deposit box – something our customers who were faced with closed bank doors during the Corona crisis really appreciate. This 24/7 availability 365 days a year is one of our key performance promises – backed up, among other things, by an emergency power supply in the event of a blackout. Furthermore, your safe deposit box is protected by both the latest physical and cyber security, as well as 24-hour on-site security guard. Furthermore, we invest in trained personnel on site to assist you with your concerns.
