After Berlin and Munich, the German safe deposit box provider Trisor is moving to Stuttgart’s city center. By the end of this year at the latest, nearly 5,500 secure lockers with 24/7 access will be available in the Lautenschlager area on an area of around 500 square meters.

Berlin, March 2022. A prestigious building in a central location and easy to reach by car – this is what Trisor demands of each of its locations. For this reason, the Lautenschlager site in the middle of Stuttgart, not far from the main train station, will soon be home to the first branch in Baden-Württemberg. With this step, the provider of lockers expands into the next metropolis where lockers are rare. Further bank branch closures will eliminate much-needed safe deposit boxes for the secure storage of physical valuables. This is exactly where Trisor picks up with its concept.

Central locker service

Once at Lautenschlager Strasse 22, interested parties will receive a personal consultation. After registering, tenants of a safe deposit box can access their valuables at any time of the day or night. The 5,500 compartments are kept in view by a robot, which safely and discreetly moves the respective locker out of the vault. Together with a cooperation partner, Trisor also operates a counter for buying and selling precious metals at the location.

3-factor authentication and locker key protect the safe deposit box from strangers. The tenant’s sensitive data is protected by a complex tech infrastructure with crypto encryption. Physical security is provided by a VdS-certified security company. Safe system and security technology are supplied by international market leaders; partners from the insurance industry help with further security.

A safe that protects not only its interior

100 tons is the empty weight of the safe made of special reinforced concrete with special reinforcement. When filled, it weighs twice as much. The developers are preparing the first floor of the property at Lautenschlagerstrasse 22 during the course of the year and are aiming for an opening in the second half of the year. Security seekers will soon be able to register.

The local Colliers brokerage office provided active support in the search for this location. Other locations in major German cities will quickly follow. For this year alone, Trisor is planning openings in Hamburg, Nuremberg, Cologne and Düsseldorf, among other cities. “As the largest city in Baden-Württemberg, Stuttgart marks another milestone for us on the way to a nationwide network,” states Marco Wild, Managing Director of Trisor GmbH. “As a bank-independent company, we see ourselves as an important partner for financial institutions that want to continue offering their customers a safe-deposit box service despite branch closures. In Stuttgart, too, we are therefore planning cooperations such as those we have successfully implemented with Berliner Volksbank in Berlin.
